In an exploratory study of 19 healthy, active, non-diabetic adults ages 18–61, researchers compared participants' glucose responses after consuming EqualFuel with their responses after their own self-selected typical breakfasts.

EqualFuel was associated with a 37% smaller blood-sugar spike and an estimated 55% lower total glucose exposure over 2 hours compared with those typical breakfasts.

These findings suggest that EqualFuel may support a steadier post-meal glucose response.

This was a small, open-label, nonrandomized pilot study. The results show an association and should not be interpreted as proving that EqualFuel caused the observed differences. Larger, independent randomized studies are needed to confirm the findings.

Participants wore continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), allowing glucose levels to be observed following consumption of EqualFuel and participants' self-selected typical breakfasts.

We looked at two important measures:

• Maximum glucose rise — how large the maximum post-meal increase in glucose was.
• Incremental glucose AUC from 0–120 minutes — an estimate of the total increase in glucose above baseline during the two hours following the meal.

Compared with participants' typical breakfasts, EqualFuel was associated with a 37% smaller maximum glucose spike and an estimated 55% lower 0–120-minute incremental glucose AUC.

These measurements tell us about the post-meal glucose response. They do not, by themselves, measure energy levels, weight loss, long-term metabolic health, or disease outcomes.

We think transparency matters as much as the numbers.

The study provides preliminary evidence that EqualFuel was associated with a steadier post-meal glucose response than the breakfasts these participants typically selected for themselves.

But it was an exploratory pilot study with only 19 participants. It was open-label and nonrandomized, and the comparison meals were participants' self-selected typical breakfasts rather than standardized control meals.

That means the study demonstrates an association, not proof that EqualFuel caused the differences observed.

The findings are encouraging and help generate hypotheses for future research, but they need to be confirmed in a larger, independent randomized study.
